Heels style is a form of modern dance that combines sensuality, technique and power, and is danced in high heels. But where can you learn and practice this fascinating discipline?

Born between the world of commercial dance and video dance, the Heels style is a mix of jazz funk, hip hop, street dance and theatrical movement.

Here's how to dance:

1. Let's start with the posture

Dancing in heels requires balance, stability and body control. The first thing to learn is to walk well in heels: back straight, abdominals active, gaze high and fluid movements. The bearing is an essential part of the Heels dance.

2. Technical and strength work

Although it appears elegant and "light", Heels dance is very physical. It requires strength in the legs, core (abdomen and back) and good control of isolations (separate movements of the hips, chest, shoulders and head).

Heels is not just movement, but expression. Attitude, confidence, gaze, presence count a lot. Every step must communicate something: femininity, strength, freedom or seduction, depending on the piece. It is a style that helps develop self-confidence and embrace your body.

5. You can dance even without heels (at the beginning!)

For beginners, it is normal to start with flat shoes or barefoot. The important thing is to focus on technique and posture before putting on heels. When you are ready, you gradually move on to shoes with thick and comfortable heels, then to thinner and more scenic heels .
